Durante la Settimana della Moda di Milano AW 14/15 ho lavorato come capo-team MUA con Maybelline New York per Kristina Ti, il brand torinese della stilista Cristina Tardito.
Questa era la mia terza collaborazione col marchio. Per questa collezione dagli abiti molto articolati e complessi, ho optato per un beauty look monocromatico per labbra e occhi sui toni dell’arancione. Lavorare con Cristina è sempre un piacere: è una donna decisa e in gamba, ma anche dolcissima e disponibile allo stesso tempo… e poi i suoi abiti sono sempre pazzeschi! 👗👠 In questo articolo vi racconto più nel dettaglio questa fantastica esperienza!

During Milan AW14/15 Fashion Week I worked as lead MUA with Maybelline New York for Kristina Ti’s fashion show. This was my third collaboration with the brand , the looks designed for this collection were very articulated and complex: I hence decided to go for a monochromatic orange makeup on both the eyes and lips.
Working with Cristina is always fun: she is a strong and determined woman, yet very sweet and helpful at the same time… and the looks she creates are always incredible👗👠! In this article you can find my record of this fantastic experience!

La mia prima esperienza come capo-team in uno dei prestigiosissimi backstage della Fashion Week è stata la sfilata SS13 di Kristina Ti a Milano in collaborazione con Maybelline NY. Per questa collezione Cristina, la designer del brand, era indecisa tra tre beauty look: naturale, bagnato o grunge. La migliore soluzione? Combinare questi suggerimenti in un unico make-up, come racconto in questo articolo.

Ho iniziato con una base molto fresca e naturale, sulla quale ho creato dei punti di luce che ho poi ripreso sulle palpebre utilizzando lo stesso prodotto per un aspetto luminoso e wet. Un rossetto marrone sfumato sotto la rima inferiore degli occhi andava poi a completare il look, dando un’allure sexy e un po’ grunge. Lo stesso rossetto l’ho poi applicato anche sulle labbra, alleggerendolo con un correttore beige per un effetto più tenue. Infine, una passata di mascara solo sulle ciglia inferiori, e voilà, il trucco è pronto!💄👗

My first experience as a lead MUA for Maybelline New York in the backstage of one of Milan’s Fashion Week prestigious catwalks, has been for Kristina Ti SS13 collection.
Cristina, the designer, could not decide between three beauty looks: natural, wet or grunge… so we went for a combination of the three of them in one full makeup look, as I wrote in this article.

I started with a very fresh base on which I created a few highlights for a wet and glowy look. I completed the makeup by blending a brown lipstick under the eye, to give the whole look a sexy and grungy allure. I then applied the same lipstick on the lips in combination with some beige concealer to soften it up a bit. Last but not least, I applied some mascara only on the lower lashes… and, voilà, ready for the runway! 💄👗

Durante la AW 14/15 Milano Fashion Week ho realizzato i beauty look per la sfilata di Aigner. È stata la seconda esperienza da capo-team durante la settimana più attesa da tutte le fashionista svoltasi dal 18 al 24 febbraio 2014; la prima, sempre con Maybelline New York, è stata nel backstage di Kristina Ti.

Un elemento ricorrente in questa collezione era il colore rosso, abbinato a forme e materiali aggressivi: il makeup ha ripreso un po’ il concetto con un look da moderna Biancaneve 🍎, raffinato e d’impatto. Pelle candida, un velo di ombretto tortora sugli occhi, mascara, blush e infine le labbra, protagoniste assolute, rosse e glossy 👄. Qui il ‘dietro le quinte’ direttamente dal fashion show.

During the AW14/15 Milan Fashion Week I created the makeup look for Aigner’s fashion show. This was my second experience as lead MUA during the Italian fashionistas’ most awaited week of the year, that took place 18-24 February 2015 in Italy’s Fashion Capital.

The colour red was a recurring element in this collection, combined with sharp volumes and fabrics. The makeup I designed took inspiration from this the aggressive energy the color red is able to evoke, proposing a refined yet impactful contemporary-Snow White kind of look 🍎. Pale skin, eyes with a touch of dove-grey eyeshadow, blush, mascara and last but not least the lips, which were the real focus of the whole look, bright red and glossy 👄. Nel 2014 durante la Milano Fashion Week ho incontrato il designer di Aigner per poter creare il mio “runway look”. La keyword che ho seguito è “iconic” e quindi spazio agli occhi, che ho contornato con un eyeliner black & white.

In 2014 during the Milan Fashion Week I met with Aigner’s designer to create my runway look. The keyword was “iconic” so I decided to focus on the eyes, outlining them with a black & white eyeliner.

A maggio 2015 ho lavorato come MUA ad uno shooting diretto dal noto fotografo di moda Antoine Verglas. Ho truccato la splendida modella messicana Daniela De Jesus Cosio, una bellezza davvero mozzafiato! In questa foto potete vedere il makeup realizzato: labbra glossy e sugli occhi un eyeliner super soft.

In May 2015 I worked as MUA on a shoot directed by famous fashion photographer Antoine Verglas. I did the makeup on the gorgeous Mexican model Daniela De Jesus Cosio, her beauty is truly astonishing! This picture shows the makeup I created: glossy lips and a very soft eyeliner ✨

Il mio lavoro mi porta spesso a incontrare persone fantastiche e davvero speciali che a volte diventano più di semplici ‘conoscenti’. È il caso di Paola Turani, modella italiana, Instagram celebrity e… mia carissima amica 💖👭! L’ho conosciuta diversi anni fa e adesso quando io torno in Italia o quando lei passa da New York per la Fashion Week cerchiamo sempre di organizzarci, nonostante le agende super impegnate, per vederci, trascorrere un po’ di tempo insieme…e  a volte ci scappa anche un bel makeup tutorial su Paola, che è davvero di una bellezza sconvolgente, come in questo caso!

Thanks to my job I often get to meet fantastic  people, who sometimes become more than just acquaintances. This is what happened with Paola Turani, an Italian model, Instagram celebrity and… a very good friend💖👭! I met her for the first time many years ago and every time I am in Italy or whenever she’s in New York we always make sure to save some time to spend some time together.

Durante la New York Fashion Week del 2013 ho avuto il piacere di truccare con Maybelline per la sfilata di Bibhu Mohapatra. Ho realizzato questo video tutorial dove mostro come riprodurre uno smokey eyes sui toni del nero facile da poter replicare e versatile. Il focus di questo makeup sono proprio gli occhi 👁💄.

During 2013 NYFW I had the great pleasure to work with Maybelline in the backstage of Bibhu Mohapatra’s fashion show. I shot this video tutorial where I show how to realize an easy and versatile dark smokey eyes look.

Nel 2012 durante la New York Fashion Week ho avuto il piacere di potermi sbizzarrire con un look anni ’60 con la bellissima Taylor Hill. Ho realizzato con Maybelline un video tutorial mostrando come poter creare un nuovo colore facendo un mix di due ombretti in crema che successivamente ho utilizzato come eye-liner 🎨.

Ho smorzato, così, un blu molto acceso aggiungendo un pizzico di nero e ottenendo il colore che stavo cercando ✌🏻.

At the 2012 NYFW I had the opportunity to get really creative with a 60s inspired look on the beautiful Taylor Hill. The look was captured in a short video tutorial shot in partnership with Maybelline New York and it shows how to create a new color by mixing two different creamy eyeshadows together which I then used as an eye-liner 🎨.

This way I softened a very bright blue using a pinch of black, achieving the perfect color I was looking for ✌🏻.

Durante l’edizione del Festival di Cannes 2016 ho avuto il piacere di incontrare (e l’onore di truccare) la bellissima Eva Longoria! Ci siamo incontrate nella splendida cornice dello storico Hôtel Martinez, per scambiare quattro chiacchiere in una bella intervista, dove Eva si è rilassata e mi ha parlato del suo rapporto con la Bellezza dalla sua infanzia ad oggi…e poi tutti sul red carpet! 💃🏻

During the 2016 edition of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival I had the pleasure to meet (and the honor to make-up) the gorgeous Eva Longoria! We met at the majestic Hôtel Martinez where we had some time to unwind, relax and talk about Beauty, before rushing to the red carpet!
